I first met Melvin (Mel for short) when I was courting his sister Barbara. Mel and I would go for a pint while Mel's Mother Elsie and Barbara were having a chat. Mel and his Mother usually cane to us for Christmas dinner. After my wife Barbara died in1996, Mel was very supportive and often came over to my house. Over the years he has been a good and reliable friend who will be missed by all my family.
