I was so sorry to hear of Mel’s passing. Although we worked together in DTI we really only became friends after. We would often bump into each other in Bromley which invariably would end in a coffee or tea or two and a prolonged chat reminiscing or putting the world to right. Before too long we used to set a date after our Friday M and S shop. Mel was a gentleman in every sense of the word, a kind, thoughtful man. My thoughts go out to his family and long term friends at this sad time. He will be much missed.
